A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck north of Lake Henshaw on Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Instruments showed that the quake hit at 10:29 p.m. at a depth 8.5 kilometers, or just over 5 miles.
No damage was reported from the weak quake, which struck along the Julian section of the Elsinore Fault Zone.
Residents as far away as El Cajon, San Marcos and Temecula reported feeling the quake on the USGS’ online response page.
