
A 32-year-old man was found shot in the back in the El Cerrito neighborhood, the San Diego Police Department reported Monday.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire 8:59 p.m. Sunday in the 6000 block of El Cajon Boulevard, where they found the man with a gunshot wound in his back, said SDPD Officer John Buttle.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, the officer said.
There was no suspect description.
Mid-City detectives were investigating the shooting.
