San Diego Police are seeking two gunmen who opened fire Wednesday on a man and a woman in the Emerald Hills neighborhood, wounding the man.

The woman told police she noticed a passenger in a passing silver Honda Accord glaring at her while she was dropping off the 38-year-old male victim on Geneva Avenue near Hanover Street shortly after 9:30 p.m., San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.

Seconds after the Honda turned the corner, two men walked toward the victims and started shooting. The male victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower right leg, but the woman was not hurt, Heims said.

The suspects fled before police arrived, according to the officer.

Police described both suspects as black, and said one had dreadlocks and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
