Two men were killed Friday after their vehicle hit a parked car and flipped on a residential street in National City.
The car was northbound on D Avenue when it hit the parked sedan at about 10:50 p.m., according to OnScene.TV, pushing the sedan into an SUV behind it.
Firefighters pulled one victim from the vehicle, but had to spend more time to extricate the other motorist. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
D Avenue was closed between 16th and 18th streets for the investigation.
Debris could be seen at the 18th Street side of the block, where the vehicle had hit a dip in the street, before the driver lost control.
