A third suspect was jailed Wednesday in connection with the death of a man gunned down at a Rolando smoking club last fall.

Nicholas Edward Davis, 24, was arrested at a City Heights apartment this morning on suspicion of taking part in the slaying of 29-year-old Rodney Harmon at Crown Hookah Lounge in the 7000 block of El Cajon Boulevard, according to San Diego police.

Officers responding to a reported shooting at the business found Harmon mortally wounded shortly after 4 a.m. on Nov. 16. The victim died at the scene.

Authorities have publicly disclosed no suspected motive for the murder.

On Aug. 6, a grand jury indicted two other suspects, Neil Edward Downey, 26, and Pierre Verenee Readus, 28, over Harmon’s death. A week later, detectives arrested Carl Antuan Martin, 33, for allegedly participating in the killing.

Martin and Readus remain in county jail, awaiting trial in the case. Downey is a fugitive, homicide Lt. Paul Rorrison said.

Davis was being held without bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Friday afternoon.
