A man was taken into custody early Thursday after attempting to break into an admiral’s home at Naval Base Point Loma.
San Diego police and U.S. Navy Police responded to the incident in the 300 block of Silvergate Avenue at approximately 5 a.m., according to OnScene.TV.
The suspect, described as a white male wearing all black, is accused of climbing over a wall to gain access, then breaking a window on the front door of a home.
He, however, was surprised by the residents and fled to a second home, where he entered a car parked in a driveway that belongs to a second admiral. He was then apprehended.
The suspect will face several federal charges, authorities told OnScene.TV.
