San Diego’s Lincoln High School will be featured on “CBS This Morning” Thursday for having five alumni participate in the Super Bowl, according to the National Football League.

CBS is profiling high schools with players that made it to the NFL and went on to play in the league’s championship contest.

Marcus Allen, the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XVIII with the Oakland Raiders, and Super Bowl XXXII MVP Terrell Davis of the Denver Broncos are scheduled to be featured in the program’s “Super Bowl High School Honor Roll” segment.

Other Super Bowl participants from Lincoln High were Saladin Martin of the San Francisco 49ers, Wally Henry of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dave Grayson of the Raiders.

Five Wilson golden footballs representing six Super Bowls were delivered to the school at a pep rally, according to the NFL. Overall, around 3,000 such footballs are being given to about 2,000 schools which had an alumnus either on the NFL player roster or coach in the Super Bowl.

Memorial High School in Port Arthur, Texas will receive eight golden footballs — the most a high school will receive. Five schools will receive six footballs, and Lincoln is among 14 schools receiving five.

“Super Bowl High School Honor Roll” visits will be featured on “CBS This Morning” every Thursday throughout the season. CBS, which will televise Super Bowl 50, also will feature visits during coverage of Thursday Night Football, and on the Network’s Sunday pregame show, “The NFL Today.”
