A security guard at a grocery store in downtown San Diego was robbed at knifepoint early Tuesday, but the suspect was arrested by police shortly afterward.

The robbery near the Ralphs store at the corner of G Street and First Avenue was reported shortly after 3 a.m., according to San Diego Police Officer Dan Lasher.

The store security guard was in uniform at the time, NBC7 reported. The robber took the victim’s wallet, but was later arrested, Lasher said.
