A man was shot in Spring Valley near State Route 125 Sunday.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said the victim, 55, was found with a gunshot wound to his leg in his apartment at 1034 Leland St., at 12:45 a.m.
A witness told deputies that several shots were heard before the victim was discovered.
The man was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests were made and the case was under initial investigation.
