The National Weather Service office in San Diego warned of fire weather conditions on Sunday afternoon in the county mountains and deserts.
“Very low single-digit humidity in the deserts Sunday, and in the teens in the mountains,” the agency said.
Gusty west winds will reach 40 mph in the mountains and deserts and would quickly spread any fires that start.
Highs on Sunday will be 68 to 73 near the coast, 72 to 75 inland, 73 to 77 in the western valleys, 77 to 82 near the foothills, 76 to 86 in the mountains and 101 to 105 in the deserts.
Despite the fire risk inland, the coast will continue to see marine layer clouds and fog each night and morning.
