A wind advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. Monday in parts of San Diego County, the National Weather Service announced.
West winds between 25 and 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected in Idyllwild-Pine Cove, Julian, Pine Valley and Indio.
The strongest winds will occur along Interstate 10 through the San Gorgonio Pass and along the Interstate 8 corridor into Imperial County, according to the weather service.
Gusty winds can blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could be blown down. The weather service recommends using caution when driving, as dust and sand can limit visibility, and to secure outdoor objects.
