A 75-year-old woman died from injuries sustained when the compact crossover she was riding in struck a light pole in the Serra Mesa area.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Sandrock Road and Gramercy Drive around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The victim was a back-seat passenger in a Honda CRV driven by another 75- year-old woman, Delimitros said.
The victim, whose name was not released, suffered internal injuries and died at a hospital, Delimitros said.
