A fiery single-vehicle crash on Interstate 805 snarled traffic near the San Diego-National City border Friday morning, but no one was injured.
A white Scion spun out, struck the center divider and caught fire in the southbound lanes approaching Palm Avenue around 6:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver and occupants were able to get of the vehicle following the crash, and no injuries were reported, according to the CHP and the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The disabled car came to a rest blocking two lanes, which prompted authorities to issue a SigAlert for the area. But it was lifted and lanes were reopened shortly before 8 a.m., CHP officials said.
