Authorities in Santee made a gruesome discovery Monday at a Santee motel.
A person flagged down a San Diego County Sheriff’s Deputy to report the body of a 54-year-old woman inside a room at the Rodeway Inn at 10135 Mission Gorge Road, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Jeffrey Duckworth.
The cause of death hasn’t been determined, and a coroner’s investigation is underway. The body was discovered around 12 noon. Officers sealed off the motel’s front entrance.
Authorities did not say if they expect foul play, the investigation was still underway.
