A general warming trend will occur starting Wednesday through early next week, with Saturday being the exception as onshore flow increases and drops temperatures slightly, the National Weather Service said.

A wind advisory remains in effect for San Diego County coastal areas and valleys through 7 p.m. Tuesday night as gusty onshore winds continue.

High temperatures along the coast Wednesday are predicted to reach 70 degrees, 69 in the western valleys, 63 to 68 near the foothills, 58 to 66 in the mountains and 80 in the deserts, according to the weather agency.

Onshore flow prevails through the week ahead, with gusty west winds possible again on Saturday with the approach of another shortwave trough.

Dry conditions are anticipated through Monday, forecasters said.
