A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being ejected from his electric scooter in Point Loma, police reported Monday.

A 43-year-old man was riding a Nanrobot when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and was ejected from the scooter in the 4200 block of West Point Loma Boulevard at 3:32 p.m. Sunday, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The victim was transported to a hospital in serious condition.

The police department’s traffic division is investigating the accident.
