San Diego County public health officials on Thursday reported 101 new COVID-19 cases and one more death from the disease.
Of 13,565 tests reported Thursday by the county’s Health and Human Services Agency, 0.7% returned positive. The 14-day rolling average dropped to .9%.
Hospitalizations moved up again, to 117 from the previous day’s 107, and those needing intensive care rose slightly, to 38.
Officials also reported one new community outbreak, in a school setting, for nine total in the past seven days, linked to 46 cases.
The county said that 91.4% of the goal population has received at least one vaccine, while 71.3% – nearly 1.5 million residents – are fully vaccinated. The goal is to vaccinate 75% of residents 12 and older, or 2.1 million people.
The county has more than 475,000 doses on hand. Meanwhile, the state plans to offer a variety of prizes for getting vaccinated.
With the new data, the local coronavirus case total rose to 279,959, while the death toll reached 3,756.
