Twenty young musical theater performers will compete in the virtual Broadway San Diego Awards for the chance to move onto the National High School Theatre Awards.
Two winners will be chosen Thursday. The winners earn berths at the Jimmy Awards, as the national competition is known, on July 15.
More than 90 students from 25 San Diego County high schools submitted audition recordings.
The semi-finalists represent schools throughout the county:
- School of Creative and Performing Arts – Ethan Cruz, Brendan Dallaire, Kiara Giolina
- Santa Fe Christian – Claire Bassett, Josh Bradford
- Canyon Crest Academy – Moira Shea Hall, William Morris
- La Costa Canyon – Evelyn Berry, Garrett Lee
- Coronado High – Bella Frost, Blake Miller
- Francis Parker – Eleni Stavros
- La Jolla Country Day – Emma Ragen, Akshar Sharma
- La Jolla High – Benjamin Jimenez
- Mission Vista High – Sydney Olson
- Mount Carmel High – Finn Proctor
- Poway High – Brayden Handwerger
- San Dieguito Academy – Ellery Bolton
- The Grauer School – Mia Sydney
