A jackknifed big rig snarled traffic on a rain-soaked Interstate 15 in the Mission Valley area early Thursday.

The big rig spun out of control and hit the center divider on northbound I-15 at Interstate 8 around 3:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. At least one other vehicle hit the big rig, the CHP reported.

A SigAlert was in effect, with three freeway lanes closed as of 5:30 a.m., the CHP reported.

No one was seriously hurt, a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher said.
