Police were on the lookout Tuesday for a man who robbed a shoe store in San Ysidro and fled toward the U.S.-Mexico border.
The suspect took a pair of shoes to the register at the Foot Locker store at 631 E. San Ysidro Blvd. shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, told the cashier he had a gun and demanded money, San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher said.
The cashier handed over an undetermined amount and the suspect ran off and headed south, according to Lasher. No one was injured.
Police described the suspect as Hispanic, around 22 years old and bald. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
