Less than a week removed from trading closer Craig Kimbrel, the San Diego Padres are reportedly shopping around right fielder Matt Kemp and right-hander Tyson Ross, according to FOX Sports.

Kemp was slow out of the gates in his first season with the Padres, but ended batting .263 with 23 homers and 100 RBI, the first Padres outfielder with 100 RBI since Greg Vaughn in 1998.

Even though the Los Angeles Dodgers ate a big chunk of Kemp’s contract when he came over in a trade last December, he is still owed $86 million over the next four years.

Kemp is a two-time National League All-Star and came in second in the 2011 National League MVP vote.

Ross was heavily rumored to be traded before this past season’s trade deadline, but the team ended up hanging on to him.

He’s been on the team for three seasons after begin acquired from the Oakland A’s after the 2012 season. In 2014 he was selected to the All-Star game as the Padres’ only representative until teammate Huston Street replaced him on the roster because Ross was unable to pitch in the game.

In three seasons with the team, Ross has a 3.07 ERA and has racked up 526 strikeouts in 516 2/3 innings pitched. He is under club control for the next two seasons and is eligible for arbitration after the 2016 season.

The report does not mention what teams may be interested in one, or both, of the players.
