Chargers Week 5 Injury Report: Stevie Johnson and Orlando Franklin Ruled Out

For the second straight week, the San Diego Chargers will be without left guard Orlando Franklin, and it looks like left tackle King Dunlap will be unable to play as well on Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dunlap has been ruled doubtful with a concussion that he suffered Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. His partner on the left side, Franklin, has been officially ruled out with an ankle injury he suffered the same week.

Dunlap isn’t the only Charger dealing with a concussion. Wide receiver Malcolm Floyd and cornerback Brandon Flowers each suffered one last week, and are both listed as questionable for Monday.

The loss of Floyd would be especially critical, considering that wide receiver Stevie Johnson is listed as out with a hamstring injury he suffered last week.

Both Floyd and Flowers were full participants in practice this week.

Some relief for the receivers and special teams could come with the return of Jacoby Jones, who is listed as questionable with an ankle injury that has kept him from playing since Week 1.

Safety Jahleel Addae is looking for his first game action since suffering a Week 1 ankle injury. He’s listed as questionable and was a full participant in Saturday’s practice.

Another player looking to make a return is center Chris Watt, who hasn’t played since Week 3 due to a groin injury. He is listed as questionable
