A man was found unresponsive and not breathing in a bathroom at an Amazon warehouse in Otay Mesa late Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Deputies from the Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Substation responded to the 6900 block of Otay Mesa Road just before 11 a.m. to assist San Diego County Fire personnel with a medical emergency call.
Despite lifesaving efforts by fire personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said in a news release.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body and will determine the cause and manner of death.
Officials said the incident remains under investigation, though no foul play is suspected.
