A Linda Vista home in the process of being remodeled caught fire for unknown reasons early Friday, sustaining an estimated $60,000 worth of damage before firefighters could douse the flames.
The non-injury blaze in the 2800 block of Ulric Street was reported shortly before 5:30 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Crews had the flames extinguished within about 10 minutes.
Investigators set the monetary losses at $50,000 to the structure and $10,000 to contents, SDFRD spokeswoman Monica Munoz said.
The cause of the fire remained undetermined as of late morning, Munoz said.
