A body was found in the San Vicente reservoir in Lakeside, police said Saturday.
The discovery was made by lifeguards at about 12:15 p.m., San Diego Police Officer Frank Cali said.
There was no identifying information immediately available on the person found.
NBC San Diego reported that lifeguards were searching for a missing kayaker when the body was found.
As the reservoir is owned by the city of San Diego, detectives from the San Diego Police Department were investigating.
