A young woman and a teenage girl were facing charges Monday after allegedly assaulting and carjacking a man in the Midway District.
The 15- and 19-year-old suspects got into an argument with the 58-year- old victim and began beating him while he was still behind the wheel of his 2005 Dodge Caravan, which was stopped on Rosecrans Street near Sports Arena Boulevard, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said. They pushed him out of the minivan and sped off shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday.
The suspects headed to National City, but were pulled over and arrested in the 200 block of East Eight Street, Delimitros said. The suspects’ names were not immediately released.
