Two weeks after a woman riding a bicycle was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver in Ocean Beach, police are still seeking to identify the make and model of the vehicle involved.

The crash at Sunset Cliffs and West Point Loma boulevards occurred at 1:19 a.m. on Oct. 12. The victim, Katie Leigh Conner, was riding eastbound on West Point Loma approaching Sunset Cliffs when she was struck by a vehicle, possibly a truck, that continued northbound without stopping.

The family has set up a Facebook page, Praying for You Katie Leigh, with updates on her progress as she remains hospitalized.

“Detectives are still actively following up on leads provided by officers and the public and they are still trying to narrow down a possible make and model of the suspect vehicle,” said San Diego Police officer Humberto Hernadez.

Police urge anyone with possible information about the accident to call them.
