Deputies arrested a man in El Cajon Friday afternoon after they discovered a hidden drug laboratory while investigating an elder abuse complaint involving an 84-year-old woman.

Deputies from the Santee station served a warrant in the 900 block of N. 4th Street, and found a marijuana-growing operation along with “a butane hash oil extraction” system, in the garage of the residence, according to a news release from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

They summoned detectives from the San Diego Integrated Narcotics Task Force, as well as the County Hazardous Materials Response unit, to dismantle the laboratory and aid in the investigation.

They found the unidentified elderly woman had no knowledge of the drug operation.

Travis Faircloth, 30, was arrested and faces multiple felony charges, including manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of concentrated cannibis and elder abuse.
