Chick-fil-A is issuing a cattle call in the wake of Comic-Con.
The chain’s nine chicken restaurants in San Diego County are set to give away as many as 10,000 free meals Tuesday, July 14, as part of a nationwide promotion called “Cow Appreciation Day.”
On Tuesday, any customer who enters a Chick-fil-A restaurant dressed “head to hoof” in cow attire will receive a free Chick-fil-A meal, including an entrée, side item and beverage.
Customers who are too “chicken” to go all-out in cow attire will receive a free entrée of choice for wearing partial cow attire, including any cow-spotted accessory, such as a cow-pattern hat, scarf, tie or purse.
The free food is available during breakfast, lunch or dinner. No purchase is required. Limit of one free meal per customer per day.
A special website, CowAppreciationDay.com, features costume ideas and additional FAQ details on the customer appreciation day promotion, as well as downloadable cow spots, masks and other bovine-themed items customers can use to create their own costumes.
Local Chick-fil-A restaurants are in Chula Vista, Encinitas, Oceanside, San Marcos, Santee, Escondido and in San Diego on Sports Arena Blvd., Camino Ruiz in Mira Mesa and Carmel Mountain Road in Carmel Mountain Ranch.
