The 8th annual Green Connections environmental forum will bring together experts and visionaries from Southern California and the Nordic countries to exchange knowledge, ideas and technologies for renewable energy.

It’s sponsored by the Finnish-American Chamber of Commerce San Diego, the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce San Diego, and the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce Los Angeles.

The event takes place on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 8 a.m. to to 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina Bay Tower on Harbor Island.

Nicole Capretz, founder and executive director of the Climate Action Campaign, will give the welcome speech focusing on San Diego’s progress on meeting the goals of its Climate Action Plan.

This year Green Connections will be part of BlueTech Week, which began on Monday. More than 700 people are expected to attend events during the week.

Registration for both events is available online.
