Rural Imperial County Defies COVID Odds With One of California’s Highest Vaccination Rates

Rural Imperial County has one statistic that is giving local health officials hope amid the pandemic: 86% of its eligible population has been vaccinated with at least one dose. It’s one of the best vaccination rates in California.

About 30 percent of people on the streets in downtown Coronado wore masks.
