San Diego State and Missouri have agreed to schedule future games starting in 2027, the two schools announced Wednesday.
The Aztecs and Tigers will now play 2027 in San Diego and 2028 in Columbia.
Looking farther into the future, they also are set to play in 2033 in San Diego and 2034 in Columbia.
The 2027 meeting will be San Diego State’s first against a team from the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
SDSU is 0-3 all-time against Missouri. That includes a 27-24 setback in Columbia in 2010 when the then No. 25 Tigers were members of the Big 12 Conference. Missouri joined the SEC for the 2012 football season.
The Tigers went 5-5 last year with all 10 games against SEC teams. Missouri made the Music City Bowl, but the game was canceled.
San Diego State finished 4-4 and will open the 2021 season against New Mexico State at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson on Sept. 4.
The Aztecs’ non-conference schedule for this season and next includes:
- Sept. 4, New Mexico State
- Sept. 11, at Arizona
- Sept. 18, Utah
- Sept. 25. Towson
- Sept. 3, Arizona
- Sept. 10, Idaho State
