San Diego’s SeaLions fell to the defending champion Seattle Sounders 2-0 Saturday, ending their run in the Women’s Premier Soccer League playoffs.
The west semi-final game took place in Whittier Saturday and was scoreless through halftime. Seattle scored in the 49th minute and added another goal to seal the victory.

The championships open Friday in Stillwater, Okla. The winners of the four regionals advance.
The SeaLions had a 7-1 record in the regular season. The team defeated Albuquerque FC 1-0 in the first round of the playoffs.
WPSL rosters include collegiate, post-collegiate, international and standout prep players. Many of the U.S.’s most famous players have taken part in play, including current World Cup champions Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe.
