Soccer powers face off in Mission Valley at 8:15 p.m. Friday as Chivas from Guadalajara meets River Plate from Argentina at SDCCU Stadium.

Tickets are available and start at $27.

The match is the first to be played as part of a competition called the Colossus Cup, reports ESPN. The games move to New Jersey July 3 and Seattle on July 6.

The other teams involved are Club America from Mexico and Boca Junior from Argentina. The Argentine clubs are part of the country’s Primera Division, while the rival Mexican teams play in Liga MX.

ESPN ranked the Liga MX teams at the close of the season in May, with Club America coming in at sixth (before bowing to Club Leon in the semi-finals of the playoffs) and Chivas at 12th.
