The San Diego Padres have canceled Sunday’s pregame activities at Park at the Park, including KidsFest, due to anticipated inclement weather.
Every effort will be made to hold the planned pregame ceremonies and Compadres Kids Sunday autograph signings before the scheduled 1:40 p.m. game against the Los Angeles Dodgers and the postgame Kids Run the Bases, a team official said.
The chance of rain was 40 percent, the NWS said.
At the ballpark, small umbrellas that fit inside a purse or small tote will be permitted inside Petco Park. No larger umbrellas, including golf umbrellas, are allowed inside the stadium.
In the event of inclement weather that poses a safety risk, fans can go to any concourse around the ballpark that is covered, as well as indoor restaurants, which are open to all fans, the team announced.
Tickets to the game are not refundable or exchangeable in advance, based upon anticipated weather conditions.
Additional information about the rain ticket policy can be found at the team’s website, padres.com.
