“Californians need a proven leader who will put our progressive values into action — and Elizabeth Warren is that leader,” Ward said. “I know she’ll fight every day to address our climate crisis head-on, and make strong investments in affordable housing, quality childcare and early childhood education, and good paying jobs. I’m proud to endorse her for President and continue fighting to make sure every family has a chance to achieve the American dream.”
“I’m honored to have the support of a bold, progressive leader like Chris, who has dedicated his career to leveling the playing field for working families across the Golden State,” Warren said. “With his support, I’m confident that we’ll make the big, structural change that Californians are counting on.”
Ward joins a list of other California leaders who have endorsed Warren for President, including Assemblywoman and California Latino Legislative Caucus Chair Lorena Gonzalez, Assemblyman Bill Quirk, Fresno City Councilman Nelson Esparza, Santa Rosa Vice Mayor Chris Rogers, Daly City Mayor Ray Buenaventura, San Francisco County Supervisor Hillary Ronen, West Hollywood City Councilwoman Lauren Meister, and Santa Clara County Supervisor Susan Ellenberg.
