The Registrar of Voters Office in Kearny Mesa will be open for weekend voting Saturday, in advance of Tuesday’s primary election.
The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its new location, 5600 Overland Ave.
”We know people are busy and voting on Election Day Tuesday may not be convenient,” said San Diego County Registrar of Voters Michael Vu. “Saturday voting gives voters yet another option to cast their ballots or drop off their vote-by-mail ballots.”
The office also will be open to voters on Monday and Tuesday.
Absentee ballots can be dropped off outside the registrar’s office tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday, or at a polling place Tuesday, according to Vu.
Primary elections for governor and other statewide offices, the state Legislature, county supervisor, City Council seats and District Attorney are on the ballot. Six propositions are also to be decided, three in the city of San Diego.
Vu said he expects turnout to be around 35-38 percent.
