Times of San Diego Read by 169,000 People in June

Times of San Diego was read by 168,821 different people in June, with a majority using smartphones and tablets to access the website.

Smartphones and tablets were used for 55 percent of reading sessions in June, with traditional desktop and laptop computers used for the remainder, according to Google Analytics.

The audience for the independent news site continued to be young and local in June. The largest audience segment, accounting for 23 percent of reading sessions, consisted of readers aged 25-34. That was followed by readers 35-44 at 20 percent, 45-54 at 18 percent, 55-64 at 17 percent, and both 18-24 and 65-plus at 11 percent.

Readers located in the City of San Diego accounted for 26 percent of reading sessions, while those elsewhere in San Diego County accounted for 18 percent, and readers elsewhere in Southern California represented another 8 percent. The site also receives significant national and even international readership.

Times of San Diego’s staff of contributing editors and photographers publish 20 to 25 local news articles daily covering all aspects of life in the San Diego metropolitan area.
