On Saturday, Nov. 10, chapter members of five military services will be staffing the Hometown Arlington West Memorial on the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, the day when the fighting in World War I stopped.

Also now known as Veterans Day, the San Diego Veterans For Peace will also be setting up the memorial on the front lawn of the USS Midway Museum, 910 N. Harbor Drive, near the corner of Broadway, in downtown San Diego.
The event honors 300+  fallen brothers and sisters from Southern California who have died in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, with special memorial markers. The public is asked to stop by from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to read their names, honor the ultimate sacrifice made by these local fallen veterans, and to reflect on the overall costs of these two ongoing wars.
