Bogle, a retired Navy captain, has served as executive director since December 2015.

“Over the past two years, Capt. Bogle has led SDMAC with distinction. He is passionate about his support for the men and women who wear the cloth of our nation and their families,” said Dennis DuBard, chair of the SDMAC executive committee. “We wish him and his family fair winds and following seas.”

“It has been my honor and pleasure to serve as SDMAC’s executive eirector,” said Bogle. “I consider my time in this capacity a salute to all those who serve our country in uniform, especially those 140,000 men and women and their families who are stationed in the San Diego region.”

“I know SDMAC will continue to effectively execute their mission to educate and advocate on behalf of our Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard under the leadership of Rear Adm. Balmert,” Bogle added.

Balmert recently retired from BAE Systems Ship Repair San Diego, and is the 2018 SDMAC board president. A 32-year Navy veteran, he held both operational commands and financial management positions before retiring in 2008.

“Adm. Balmert brings a wealth of experience into this organization and we are thrilled to have him on board,” DuBard said.

SDMAC was founded in 2004 with the mission to facilitate and advance the partnership among the military, elected officials, civic leaders, and the business community in the San Diego region.
