The parks along San Diego Bay were crowded Saturday for views of the Sea & Air Parade — the highlight of Fleet Week.

But the longest lines were at Broadway Pier to visit the amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage and the Coast Guard cutter Midgett, based in Seattle. Ship tourists were lined up well before the gate opened.

Free tours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., continue through Monday, with photo ID required. (But be aware you’ll have to go up and down steep ladders and ramps.)

An Innovation Zone, which features a combination of STEM and high-tech displays, is in the Port Pavilion Building at the Broadway Pier through Sunday.

Also at the pier are static displays of military vehicle the public can inspect.
