The amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage, Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey and the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Scout will head to Los Angeles and be joined by the Coast Guard cutter Active and Royal Canadian Navy Halifax-class frigate HMCS Ottawa.

The second annual Los Angeles Fleet Week runs from Tuesday through Sept. 4 at the Port of Los Angeles.

The event offers the public an opportunity to tour the ships and meet service members as they showcase the ships’ capabilities. It also gives the public a chance to gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the national defense and international freedom of the seas.
