Temperatures will remain pretty steady over the next several days across Southern California, the National Weather Service said.
Highs will begin to fall slightly this weekend, with temperatures returning to near or even slightly below normal by early next week.
High temperatures along the coast Wednesday were predicted to be 73 to 78 degrees, 78 to 83 inland, 82 to 87 in the western valleys, 90 to 95 near the foothills, 89 to 98 in the mountains and 110 to 115 in the deserts, according to the weather service.
Monsoonal moisture will decrease through the end of the week, meteorologists said. A greater chance for afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms in the mountains and deserts will return Sunday through early next week.
Night and morning coastal low clouds and fog will spread into portions of the western valleys for the middle and latter part of the week.
