The San Diego region can expect fair skies and warm weather on Saturday with light to moderate Santa Ana Winds, the National Weather Service said.

“Fair and warm weather will prevail through Saturday. Areas of Santa Ana winds in the foothills and valleys will boost the warmth and lower the humidity west of the mountains,” the weather service said.

The Santa Ana winds peaked on Friday morning with gusts of 40 to 50 mph, causing concern for wildfire spread, but no dangerous blazes developed.

Winds will be light along the coast on Saturday, but gusts of up to 30 mph are possible in the inland valleys and mountains.

Highs on Saturday are forecast to be 80 to 85 near the coast, 85 to 90 inland, 87 to 92 in the western valleys, 82 to 87 near the foothills, 72 to 79 in the mountains and around 89 in the deserts.
