The public is invited to a Mission Bay event this weekend aimed at teaching children the values of empathy, teamwork and kindness. The event, titled “Beach Roll for Kindness,” will be hosted by Inlight Institute on Sunday.
Guests can expect a variety of activities including a “Kindness March,” BBQ, sandcastle workshop and a meet and greet with professional athletes.
Organizers hope the event will inspire young families and to instill better community values in our kids, and adults. The main focus for the event is for everyone to leave with a better understanding of empathy, self-expression, and teamwork, organizers said.
Beach Roll for Kindness will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa at 3999 Mission Blvd.
