Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible Monday in the San Diego County mountains and deserts.
A chance of flash flooding is also in Monday’s forecast amid the hot weather and monsoonal moisture, according to the local National Weather Service office.
“The risk of flash flooding will be moderate over the mountains of San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego Counties,” the weather service said. “For Wednesday through the end of the week, drier air moving into the region will eliminate the risk for flash flooding.”
Temperatures Monday are expected to reach 82 degrees in San Diego, 89 in Campo, 92 in Ramona, 96 in Julian and 107 in Borrego Springs.
