The city of San Diego’s third annual How-To Festival Saturday will teach a wide range of skills, everything from making Belgian waffles to surviving natural disasters.
The central library and 12 branches will host “experts from all walks of life” to lead 90 experiential learning workshops on cooking, gardening, dancing, arts and crafts, technology as well as health and financial wellness, among other things.
Other topics include paying for college, flamenco dancing, how to wear a kimono, how to curb stress and how to prepare organic treats for cats and dogs.
A complete guide to the event is available online.
Workshops run from 20 to 45 minutes, and are intended to accommodate all ages. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
