The National Weather Service office in San Diego issued a frost advisory for Friday night and Saturday morning for the inland valleys in East County.

“Weak winds and a dry, cold air mass will lead to near freezing to below freezing temperatures late this evening through mid Saturday morning for the valleys,” the weather service said. “Temperatures this low could damage or kill plants and crops.

The advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

Overnight lows are expected to range from 27 to 37 with light winds.

It will be warmer Saturday afternoon and Sunday, but more cold weather and light rain are in the forecast for Monday night and Tuesday
