“A Red Flag Warning has been issued for all valley and mountain areas of SoCal due to critical fire weather conditions expected Saturday evening through Monday afternoon,” the weather service said in a statement.
Gusts up to 50 mph are forecast in the mountains and valleys, and high temperatures west of the mountains are expected to be 10 to 22 degrees above average on Sunday and Monday.
The weather service said humidity would drop to 10 percent with “poor recovery overnight” during the period.
“Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly,” the weather service warned.
