San Diego came in first in a new ranking of the top cities in America for runners.

Zumper, an online apartment rental service, ranked cities based on average temperature, amount of parkland, total races and local apartment affordability. San Diego did well in every category — except affordability — and still topped the list.

“Sunny and active San Diego topped our list as the best city for runners in America,” Zumper said in the report released earlier this month. “The city mixes incredible running weather with plentiful parkland acreage. Also given the city’s desirability, rent prices are also relatively affordable.”

San Antonio came in second nationally and Houston third. Los Angeles came in 13th.
